I absolutely loved the after sun hydration sheets. I can home from a day at the beach, had my everything shower and hopped on the bed for a Sunday arvo session with my book. How do face sheet masks work?
When applied to your skin, face sheet masks act as a barrier that traps the serum against your skin, allowing for better absorption.
Unlike traditional face masks that you apply and wash off, face sheet masks do not need to be washed off.
Instead, the remaining serum is gently patted into the skin after removing the mask.
How do I apply a face sheet mask?
Wash your hands and face well.
Carefully unfold the mask and press it onto your face, smoothing out any air bubbles.
When using Outer Layer, be sure to screw the lid of the tin back on immediately.
Leave it on for 20 minutes or so, then remove and gently pat in any leftover serum.
How often should I use a face sheet mask?
The question is: how hydrated do you want to be?
Some clinicians recommend applying a face sheet mask 1–3 times a week – but be sure to speak to your dermatologist or beautician for a recommendation suited to your skin.
In our humble opinion, Outer Layer face sheet masks are best enjoyed during the unwind of a busy day, accompanied with a woody incense and a glass of something.
When in my routine do I apply a face sheet mask?
Use a face sheet mask after cleansing and toning, but before applying moisturiser.
This allows your skin to fully absorb the serum, boosting hydration and enhancing the rest of your skincare routine.

Do face sheet masks expire?
Yes, face sheet masks have an expiry date.
To see the expiry date of your Outer Layer face sheet masks, check the bottom of the tin.
Using expired masks may reduce their effectiveness and could irritate the skin.
